Job Title: Medical Oncologist
Job Specialty: Medical Oncology
Job Duration: 17 weeks
Shift: Day, 5x8 hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified
License: Valid license to practice in applicable state
Certifications: Board certification/eligibility, Valid DEA, BLS or ACLS in applicable setting
Must-Have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Outpatient care experience
- Proficiency in Hematology and Oncology
Job Description:
- Diagnose diseases, injuries, and conditions using appropriate measures such as history, physical exam, and diagnostics, and provide or prescribe treatment.
- Communicate options, address concerns, and answer questions with a patient-centered approach to prevent illness and injury.
- Accurately and completely document in medical records for continuing care, compliance, quality, safety, and billing.
- Provide leadership and feedback to clinical teams providing patient care.
- Consult with colleagues and refer patients to other sources of care when appropriate.
- Be available for office visits, phone calls, and electronic communication as outlined in employment agreements and policy.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts in quality, safety, and patient experience.
- Engage in continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Perform additional duties as defined in the physician employment agreement and specialty requirements.
Required Education:
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Residency trained in specified area of specialty
