Job Duties: Responsibilities of the Maxillofacial Prosthodontist include basic and complex prosthodontic rehabilitation of adult and pediatric patients with congenital or acquired deformities of the oral cavity, head and neck. Other duties include supervision of anaplastologist and dental technologists who work in the in-house lab and teaching of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, ENT residents as well as serving on the craniofacial anomalies team at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center as a consultant. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to develop a multi-disciplinary practice working in partnership with our head and neck surgeons and other members of the cancer center, plastic surgeons, sleep specialists, speech pathologists, dentists and specialists in the community, our trauma center and more.
Minimum Qualifications: Prior to effective date of the appointment all of the following are required:
• Completion of a residency in postgraduate prosthodontics and a fellowship in maxillofacial prosthetics from programs recognized by the American Dental Association.
• Must be board certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics.
• Eligible for license to practice dentistry in the State of Ohio.
