About the Role:

Matterport seeks an enthusiasticLead Software Engineerto join our Business Services team. You’llbe responsible for architecting and designing scalable services for the Matterport Platform which serves billions of requests a month. The ideal candidate is an individual who thrives on new challenges, possesses a strong product development and application integration background, comfortable and interested in coding and has a drive to invent.

This positionis located inSunnyvale, CAand offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday in the office and the option to work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, develop,codeand deploy API, integration, data pipelines, orchestrated services, micro services for enterprise business services.

  • Provide solutions with the understanding of end-to-end businessprocessflow.

  • Work with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and engineers

  • Ensure successful integration of customer-facing platform services and internal systems

  • Provide solutions topostproductionsystem issues.

  • Ensure proper monitoring and respond to issues with the live environments

  • Duties of the role may change subject to the needs of the business.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited, not for profit university or college
  • 8+ years of IT software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing cloud platform integration
  • 4+ years of hand-on experience developing services in modern OOP languages such as: Java, Kotlin, Python or .NET 
  • Familiarity with UI frameworks like Angular or React
  • 3+ years of experience developing enterprise application services with platforms such as but not limited to NetSuite, Oracle ERP or Salesforce
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in all areas of development
  • A track recordof developing testable and maintainable code
  • Demonstrated experience building and developing teams in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Track recordof commitment to prior employers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing and working on complex application implementation in the areas such as order to cash, record to report, hire to retire,procureto pay
  • Familiarity with entities such as Orders, customer master, product, price book,invoiceand SaaS subscription.
  • Hands on Experience with Linux,MySQLor PostgreSQL, and Github
  • Familiar with Gradle, Docker & Kubernetes, CI/CD SDLC processes
  • Familiar with agentic AI frameworks, preferably Claude Code

This position offers an annual salary range from $144,000 - $210,000determined by relevant skills and experience, in addition to a generous benefits plan.
