Title: Materials Supervisor Location: Fontana, CAEssential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises staff of planners and buyerswho plan and establish production schedules, monitor materials inventories, track progress of production, and review factors which affect production schedules.

Will be responsible for managing production scheduling, inventory, and procurement to support company shipment demand.

Will plan and coordinate activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality controlof production materials in an ERP environment

Will set production schedules to maximize production efficiencies and satisfy customer demands

Revise schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, capacity and availability of workers, parts, material, machines and equipment

Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from engineering departments

Will ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels

eview and plan requirements for acceptable inventory

Maintain material purchases for both inventory and non-inventory requirements to be used for all departments within the facility.

Oversee floorstock(kanban) items and audit keeping it consistent with usage and requirements.

Maintain purchasing files and follow procedures to ensure only approved suppliers are used and all policy and procedures are being followed.

Expedite orders as needed to meet customer demands.

Assist in any accounting discrepancies with3 way match accounting process, Manage purchase price variances, Received not invoiced andy work order processing and closing procedures.

Establish and maintain forecasts and safety stock needs and maintain smooth workflow.

Train, develop, and motivate department staffEducation and/or Experience:

5+ years or equivalent experience including Procurement

Must have experience in a lean manufacturing environment

Must have experience purchasing for manufacturing environment

Kanban experience a plus

Must have scheduling experience in a high volume, high mix electronics, PCB, or job shop environment

Pull system experience a plus

Must be experienced in windows based applications such as Excel(intermediate), Word and Power Point

Experienced inERP/MRP systems, Query based data mining tools

Should have experience in scheduling on both non-recurring development and recurring production programs.

Develops and analyzes lists of raw materials, purchased parts, equipment, and other items required Reviews and evaluates engineering drawings and blueprints to estimate quantity and type of materials, parts, or other items required.

Converts requirements to orders of conventional sizes and quantities, considering factors such as existing inventories, unavoidable waste, and kind of material to be used
