Kforce has a client seeking a Materials Manager (Electronic Manufacturing) in Phoenix, Arizona (AZ).


  • Oversees and manages all planning and revenue management activities related to materials management and inventory control in the manufacturing environment; This includes tactical day-to-day operational commitments covering materials management, inventory control and materials functions such as purchasing and shipping / receiving activities
  • Translates customer delivery requirements into material strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products
  • Defines goals, improves technologies, and resolves problems in conjunction with managers of manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, and sales
  • Drive inventory initiatives; Develop new suppliers; Assist in maintaining key supplier performance; Forward cost expectations, and Manage Document Control processes
  • Develops operations-related plans, budgets, and policies and procedures, while ensuring efficient delivery of the revenue plan for the site or group


  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Engineering or related major; MBA is highly preferred
  • APICS CPIM required
  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations including at least 5 years of demonstrated leadership
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing and Chip and Wire assemblies
  • AS9100/ISO 9001 experience
  • Base knowledge of electronics manufacturing technologies and methods
  • Knowledge of microelectronics is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of SMT PCB Assemblies is a plus
  • Strong process manufacturing, material planning and purchasing experience
  • Exceptional analytic business acumen, data driven with strong ERP background
  • Strong systems experience and materials management
  • Proven record of managing a diverse workforce
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully integrate new products into the manufacturing process including knowledge, experience, and proven adaptability with different manufacturing disciplines
  • Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
  • Proven leadership skills
