  • MPM will function as the point-of-contract between the Program Office, Functional Management, the Customer, supplier relationships, and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts to ensure successful resolutions of program issues.
  • Manage the material budget for an applicable major program. Assists in providing comprehensive business analysis of program material requirements and manage impact to program EAC's for all material related actions.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Office and Functional Management, as well as other stakeholders, to define and assign task requirements; estimate and establish budget and schedules; determine appropriate performance metrics; clarify priorities; and develop and implement specific management plans to support the program.
  • Interact with Engineering / Engineering design reviews, Planning, Procurement and Manufacturing personnel to ensure appropriate drawings are released and program schedules are achieved.
  • Assists in reviewing proposals & Statements of Work (SOW) to establish status metrics and reporting methods that assists with Make buy decisions, follows up on open purchase orders, verifies delivery, participates in resolving supplier issues, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s).
  • Utilize program management tools to monitor and report program performance to objectives (including budget, schedule, and other management requirements), and facilitate project coordination and decision-making.
  • Lead/participate in Integrated Product Teams to assure successful program execution and drive non-value added costs out of the program.
  • Provide proposal support to include estimating the scope of MPM labor and material efforts.

 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • Extensive experience with SAP and material processes strongly preferred. 
  • Must have Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proven team player with outstanding customer relationship skills.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and work overtime as required.
  • Civilian / Military experience in end-to-end aircraft logistics support (configuration management, maintenance, supply, ground support equipment & transportation)

    • Maintenance:
      • Beech 300 Series familiarity is a plus
      • Understand equipment Illustrated parts catalogs and apply OEM effectivity codes to support maintenance and procurement for multiple aircraft models within the series
      • Work with system engineers to ensure mission system baselines are supported
      • Understand and have experience in flight line operations, ground equipment and tool room operations
      • Manage distribution and calibration of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment
      • Ensure availability of material to support TBO for major aircraft components (engine, propellers, landing gear etc.)
    • Configuration Management:
      • Maintain configuration management documents to ensure spares availability and their distribution supports multiple operational sites for both aircraft and mission systems
      • Program and manage component upgrade / modification to satisfy current baseline configurations and on-going aircraft / system modifications and upgrades
      • Plan and develop spares kits to support aircraft deployments and overseas operations
    • Supply:
      • Have an understanding of material management and warehouse operations to include material procurement, receiving, stocking, issuing and shipping.
      • Inventory management to include experience with industry standard warehouse inventory procedures and material shelf-life management
      • Experience with management of Government Furnished Equipment highly desirable
    • Transportation
      • Understand and have experience with commercial logistics movements (primarily ground and air transportation systems)
      • An understanding of the military transportation system is desirable (CONUS & OCONUS)
      • Have a solid understanding of export / import guidelines to ensure the timely and correct export and import of material subject to Commerce and ITAR requirements
      • Coordinate with commercial airlift logistics enterprises to effect the movement of material
      • Coordinate with internal logistics activities for the movement of dangerous goods
    • Ground Support
      • Support equipment (powered and non-powered) for aircraft operations and their associated spares needs
      • Provide site support to include shop industrial and test equipment and safety equipment
      • Procure and manage equipment to support tactical operations centers and aircrew life support operations
  • Requires exceptional spreadsheet and database skills and knowledge of SAP
    • Must develop and support high value material bids to support end-to-end program operations to include material requirements identification and management of recoverable assets through the repair cycle
    • Have experience supporting Government (DCAA) audits and maintain supporting documents to defend bids submittals
    • Disposition material for sale / scrap when obsolete to program requirements and work with the Government’s representative to identify and recommend material disposition
  • General:
    • Ability to manage material costs to stay within allocated budgets
    • Develop material estimate-to-complete (spending plan)
    • Travel within CONUS to support material procurement and repairs, and potentially OCONUS for sustainment of site operations
    • Ability to logically develop and meet short suspense inputs for ROM requests in support of Customer requested courses of action
