Complete accurate and timely field appraisals, drive-in appraisals, supplements, and re-inspections on damaged motor vehicles.
*** Handle field losses, field visits, and re-inspections of staff and independent appraisal firms, and catastrophe duty.
*** Negotiate with customers, shop appraisers, and similar for proper repairs to vehicles.
*** Make claim payments in field and drive-ins as required.
*** Testify regarding findings in arbitrations and court cases.
*** Work on special programs related to early towing, catastrophes, and drive in coverage.
*** Assist with training of shop personnel and provide moderate field support. Oversee, instruct, and evaluate performance of repair shops.
*** Ensure appraisal writing compliance with procedures and department expectations.
*** Keep apprised of territorial labor rates, repair techniques, vehicle & construction design, industry trends, and applicable state laws.
*** Disseminate technical expertise regarding auto policy for personal & commercial vehicles and related coverages.
*** Participate in Automotive and Homeowner technical training.
