As a Photomask Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for sustaining and development engineering activities for all inspection processes. This includes but is not limited to:

 

  • Develop new inspection processes for cutting edge materials such as EUV and new optical phase shifting films
  • Explore new opportunities at inspection to detect, characterize, and identify defects to help improve processes
  • Drive to improve simulation capability for defect classification and enhance defect database and query capabilities
  • With knowledge of the inspection requirements, look for opportunities to improve the automation process
  • Monitor tools and processes to ensure stability and consistency of results
  • Follow up on inspection issues, identify root causes, and implement the corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence
  • Develop training plans and mentoring of on-shift inspection and sustaining team members, 1-on-1 or in a classroom setting
  • Create and update procedures and guidelines related to inspection tools and processes

Qualifications

 

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Understanding of reticle manufacturing processes is preferred
  • Data analysis and data visualization experience is preferred
  • Ability to learn new photolithography techniques and their requirements as applied to inspection criteria. Including reticle enhancement techniques
  • Knowledge of Linux, SQL, and database management is a plus
  • Understanding of optics and lasers is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting background and working experience in a semiconductor or photomask fab
  • A high level of self-motivation and self-direction
  • The ability to work independently with limited direction as well as in a highly collaborative team setting
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to teach others
  • Willing to work with a flexible schedule

 

Education Requirements:

Minimum BS in engineering or science discipline is required + semiconductor experience
