Applies psychotherapeutic and family systems theories and techniques in the delivery of professional services to individuals, couples, families, and groups for the purpose of treating such diagnosed anxiety, adjustment, coping, and other emotional and psychological disorders. These services are directly provided to children and families served by the Children's Harbor Family Center at Children's Hospital/Children's Health System. Represents the Center and coordinates with other community agencies involved with the same client population. Serves and leads on the interdisciplinary team. Represents and advocates for patients and families.
Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, or related human service field.
Two years or more of professional experience with children and families requiring diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning and crisis intervention, as well as providing the various modalities of therapy, strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
Alabama professional licensure and certification in professional specialty required.
Eligible for credentialing at Children's Hospital.
