Position Overview

The Marketing Program Manager is responsible for driving the development of customers and acquisition of prospects with a focus on marketing activities related to the Zones partner community. In this position, you will create, execute, and optimize effective marketing programs targeting SMB, mid-market, and enterprise customers. Working cross-functionally with partner and product management (PPM), creative, and sales you will define customer segments required to achieve effective results and ensure Zones and partner value propositions are clearly communicated to generate demand. The Marketing Program Manager will be expected to own initiatives and projects from end-to-end and perform analysis on all related marketing activities to support and enable Zones sales professionals to acquire new accounts, develop existing customer relationships, and achieve sales performance goals. This role requires excellent relationship management skills, the ability to work cross-functionally on multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Marketing Program Manager is primarily responsible for:

  • Marketing Program Development and Execution
    • Co-develop strategic initiatives, drive tactical execution, and provide detailed analysis as well as opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Manage the development and execution of compelling and effective programs by collaborating with Creative services and using technology sources such as CRM and Marketo
    • Provide post-mortem reports to all stakeholders
    • Aggregate business reports quarterly and annually
    • Manage cost elements of each executed activity
  • Incremental Partner Programs:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify incremental opportunities for partner initiatives
    • Create, design, and implement joint marketing plans and activities with key partners
    • Monitor and identify areas where additional partner programs can be executed in-line with funding goals
  • Subject Matter Expert:
    • Become a technology and partner generalist to aid in guiding the tactical execution of programs
    • Provide guidance on best practices regarding database and email marketing in order to reach targets
    • Understand existing customer database, segmentation, and targeting best practices
    • Make recommendations for CRM improvement in relation to targeting activities
  • Sales Communication & Enablement:
    • Drive the communication of programs and key strategies to the sales teams
    • Provide reps with the tools and programs necessary to acquire and develop customers and achieve their ramp goals
  • Other duties as required

We are se eking candidates with the following experience and skills

  • BA in Marketing or a Business related field


  • Marketo Certification (preferred)

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years required experience in B2B or technology Marketing
  • 3+ years executing B2B marketing campaigns
  • 3+ years managing email marketing programs (preferably using a marketing automation platform, such as Marketo)
  • 2 years working with marketing databases or marketing in line with CRM activities
  • 2 years project management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Technology Focus & Requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience with Microsofto Dynamics CRM and Marketo
  • Experience with database marketing and marketing performance metrics preferred
