Conduct on-site customer activities for growing product line of Plasma and Reactive Gas Solutions including guiding customers in equipment development with related integration and supporting troubleshooting, application, and process development efforts.
*** Regularly visit customer sites to better understand equipment and preventative maintenance issues.
*** Serve as the Primary Customer Escalation interface, initiate Problem resolution though diligent customer data analysis and problem definition, and manage all follow up activity.
*** Document appropriate work-arounds to known problems until formal solutions are implemented.
*** Produce presentations, generate and complete Eight Disciplines Problem Solving, and publish troubleshooting matrices for customers.
*** Provide technical support to Customer Quality, Engineering, and Product Support Departments by phone, e-mail or on site.
*** Follow up with the appropriate functional group to ensure timely closure on open technical issues.
*** Identify unmet market needs and provide prompt feedback to the Product Groups for potential new opportunities and products.
*** Support development and implementation of customer applications to ensure product and process performance and reliability.
*** Provide hands-on support for joint development activities with customer product development personnel.
*** Work with field service, applications engineers and reliability-engineering groups to provide customer data such as Mean Time Between Failures and Mean Time To Repair for continuous improvement, quality assurance, warranty reduction, and other programs.
*** 5 or more years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing process or equipment engineering.
*** Strong semiconductor fabrication and vacuum technology experience.
*** Experience developing PVD, CVD, or ALD processes and equipment.
*** Understanding of sub-45 nm device construction and associated manufacturing process flows.
