The Marketing Production Manager manages the entire department of Marketing and Communications’ print production of 25+ newsletters, 3 magazines and all printing projects for Market Development and other entities of Johns Hopkins Medicine. This position works closely with Market Development, Editorial and Graphic Design staff. An individual in this position is responsible for knowing what projects the department is working on, whom they are assigned to and the status. From delivering jobs to working with graphic design and editorial to updating production schedules and keeping track of samples, it’s a fast-paced job with a high level of responsibility. This position regulates and improves department project management and ensures job consistency by carefully monitoring workflow. A Marketing Production Manager acts as a project director and central communicator within the department and with other Johns Hopkins entities. This position reviews production schedule and requests and establishes priorities for specific jobs. This position will lead the vendor review project (includes printing, mail house, US Postal Service) with other affiliates throughout Johns Hopkins Medicine to develop new work processes, implement process improvements and cost savings practices. The Marketing Production Manager is involved in the department billing process and is responsible for delegating bills and managing Marketing and Communications’ printing, mail house, postage and lists charges. This position manages a printing budget of approximately $1M and keeps accurate financial records of the fiscal year for the department, analyze and compare cost within past and current fiscal years to help negotiate savings and manage productions costs. The position also manages all Johns Hopkins Medicine publication mailing lists and develops processes for updates and returns. Requirements: well-developed organizational, interpersonal, communication, time-management, technical skills, the ability to multitask, accounting and budget development and maintenance experience. Computer skills (MAC & PC) are essential.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Business, Health Administration or other relevant field is strongly preferred.
Specific knowledge of marketing principles and practices, market research and analysis, strategic planning, marketing communications and program development required. Accounting skills/budget development, printing and production management.

Required Licensure, Certification:
Minimum of 5 years previous health care experience recommended. Supervisory / managerial experience preferred. Project coordination and business development experience preferred.
