Position Overview

Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager of Special Programs, this position is responsible for developing innovative marketing programs through the planning and execution of strategic marketing programs designed to drive foot traffic and awareness of key mall initiatives ranging from Food Hall openings to complete redevelopements across the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and bringing to life strategic marketing programs including local events, media campaigns and public perception programs
  • Project manage the creation and optimization of marketing campaigns that utilize a broad, omni-channel marketing mix which strongly positions Brookfield Properties in each market through programs that drive engagement, mall traffic, increased shopper spend and frequency of visit
  • Leverage consumer research and key data points to build strategic marketing campaigns resonates with Brookfield Properties key shopper segments
  • Strictly and diligently manage marketing program budgets
  • Deliver flawlessly executed marketing activations on time and on budget
  • Provide regular status reports and briefings to stakeholders and functional leadership teams
  • Leverage Project Management platform(s) to organize and inform work-teams, document decisions, share creative assets and assign tasks
  • Oversee marketing a variety of activations and tatics while tracking performance and effectiveness
  • Act as marketing subject matter expert, consult with internal and external partners to ideate and deliver marketing strategies and plans
  • Have a detailed understanding of sales performance and traffic results for marketing ‘activated’ properties and implication to on-going strategy
  • Seek and encourage retailer participation in marketing programs as an effort to promote their business and add value to overall marketing efforts
  • Manage and prioritize work effectively to ensure internal deadlines, timetables and approvals are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or relate field required, Master’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of B2C marketing experience, including digital and retail marketing experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in digital marketing
  • Strong experience with strategic planning and project management

Core Skills and Characteristics:

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • In-depth knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing and ability to lead the development of creative and innovative marketing campaigns
  • Strong competency and experience with using social media as a business while keeping an eye on emerging social trends
  • Experience with key technology enablers, including, but not limited to social media publishing and monitoring applications (Adobe Social, Shoutlet, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Crimson Hexagon, Radian6 or similar), content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager experience a plus)
  • Expert level knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is critical
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS with an understanding of web site architecture and navigation a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, including proficiency in copywriting and proofreading
  • Ability to travel if needed and weekend and evening hours may be required
