Scilex is an early-stage company launching its first product. We are looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals who thrive on challenge and change, who can roll up their sleeves, put on multiple hats and have a can-do attitude without a lot of oversight or instruction.

This position will support and/or lead various marketing projects. Will work closely with cross-functional team members and has both strategic and tactical responsibility for supporting brand activities, including HCP marketing, medical marketing, agency management, patient programs and key opinion leader (KOL) management.

The individual will be involved in the development, market analysis and implementation of the strategic brand plan for Scilex's PHN product ZTlido. The Product Manager/Director will collaborate with other functional areas including Regulatory Affairs, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Clinical and other internal groups and external agencies to develop and implement product strategies and tactics that are responsive to customer needs, consistent with market opportunities and ultimately deliver on the product and company goals.


-Lead, develop and manage brand strategies and tactical execution of diverse marketing initiatives. Communicate brand strategies and performance regularly to senior management.

-Help develop and implement the product launch plan, including pre-launch readiness activities that engage potential customers and help to accelerate launch adoption potential.

-Develop and execute against promotional strategy and tactical plans targeting US based Pain Specialists and other HCPs involved with the treatment of PHN.

-Analyze market data and trends to provide detailed recommendations in support of market maximization efforts and potential.

-Collaborate with internal marketing team, sales team, key opinion leaders and physician customers to identify and evolve marketing programs that incorporate a variety of formats such as live forums and web-based programs to achieve brand goals and objectives.

-Brand lead on: Day to day agency and vendor management, marketing materials development including production quantities and inventory mgt, digital assets including HCP & patient materials, websites and other projects as needed

-Develop materials through collaboration with external agencies and internal partners in support of brand efforts.

-Manage PRC process gaining approval for marketing materials through the Company's promotional review process and adhere to established SOPs while ensuring that all marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements

-Partners with the field sales force to understand resource gaps and opportunities through building strong relationships and participating in field rides.

<-Identify and manage advertising and promotion budgets; develop and monitor relevant metrics to ensure program success. Communicates performance tracking as necessary.

-Manage vendor contract processing (purchasing requisitions, invoices, and approvals).

-Liaise with KOLs by attending congress meetings, advisory board programs, and representing company at other events if needed.

-Develop and implement procedures, files, records and follow-up systems to ensure marketing processes are managed in a well-organized and timely manner.


-Must be adaptable and able to work well, and relate effectively with people at all organization levels

-Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus.

-4-6 years of pharmaceutical product marketing experience. Relevant industry experience in other roles (such as Sales leadership, Market Research, Advertising Agency, etc.) and/or healthcare segments may allow for flexibility in required years of marketing experience.

-Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding expectations in assigned responsibilities.

-Experience in pain or neurology a plus.

-Ability to work independently and take lead role on assigned projects.

-Excellent listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.

-Strong interpersonal/ "soft" skills with the ability to work with broad cross functional teams is imperative.

-Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency.

-Strategic, passionate, self-starter.

-Demonstrated proficiency in the PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

-Ability to travel up to 30%.
