The Marketing Manager, Research Area Marketing is responsible for creating and executing through his/her team, the research area marketing plans for Bio-Techne.

This individual will collaborate with product management, digital marketing, and campaign marketing managers to generate scientific content related to key research area initiatives and to promote that content through traditional and digital marketing channels. The content will include but not be limited to; application notes, customer stories, scientific pathways, ebooks, press releases and other enriching scientific content. This role reports to the Senior Director of Global Demand Generation Marketing.

Primary responsibilities for this position are:

  • Identify Bio-Techne branded scientific content that connects our brands and products to key research areas and speaks to our unique position in helping scientists make that next discovery
  • Manage Bio-Techne press release process to include writing, editing and deployment
  • Manage team of PhD level scientists that will create content for research areas.
  • Liaison with digital, events marketing and campaign team on messaging for events as it relates to specific research areas
  • Manage project management tool to ensure completion of content execution against plan and align with cross brand initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as scientific content marketing or campaign manager in a life sciences company
  • Experience in scientific content writing and/or technical writing
  • Broad knowledge of tools and techniques related to protein sciences
  • Strong desire to work in a face paced, high growth environment
  • Approximately 10-15% domestic travel as desired to attend exhibits

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • PhD in Biological Sciences is preferred but a MSc. with proper experience will be considered
  • 3-5 years of experience creating scientific content for marketing purposes
  • 3-5 years of experience in people management
