The Role
We are looking for a ‘marketing unicorn’ to become our Marketing Manager, People and Culture (P&C) on the Marketing Team at ApplyBoard. In this brand new role, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing all marketing initiatives to support our P&C Team which includes Employee Success, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development. Responsibilities:
- Own the overall marketing strategy to support ApplyBoard’s People and Culture Team (P&C) which includes Employee Success, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development (L&D)
- Plan, develop, and maintain detailed strategic marketing plans that align various marketing initiatives to deliver on the unique goals and KPIs of each department
- Play a key role in the development of ApplyBoard’s internal and external employer brand including defining key messaging, communication pillars, employee and prospective-employee personas, etc.
- Develop a comprehensive set of brand guidelines to be used by the P&C Team, guiding all communications, graphics, and material creation to create consistency, ensure all teams are adhering to guidelines and representing our brand properly
- Partner closely with People & Culture Leadership to champion the scaling to ApplyBoard’s culture and drive employee engagement by helping to build compelling talent acquisition programs, engaging interview experiences, exceptional onboarding, and ongoing employee support initiatives globally
- Personally develop and project manage the creation of various traditional and digital marketing materials including emails, blogs, website content and copy, digital advertisements, 1-pagers, brochures, guides, social media content, event materials, promotional and informational videos, etc.
- Act as the liaison between L&D and Marketing, project managing the creation of L&D content, project managing the Video and Design Teams, and ensuring brand consistency across all initiatives
- Develop and maintain a calendar of key people-focused initiatives, work with cross-functional team members to plan programs, execute, and project manage the creation of materials to support initiatives
- Own the strategy and execution of the employer brand communications plan, including ApplyBoard’s Life at ApplyBoard Instagram account and blog, developing compelling content that drives engagement, brand awareness, and applications
- Assist with the creation and management of the ApplyBuzz internal employee newsletter consistently looking for ways to improve and evolve
- Work with Event Managers to conceptualize, plan, and execute community engagement events, in-person and virtually, focused on elevating ApplyBoard’s employer brand internally and externally, driving employer brand awareness in key markets, aligning ApplyBoard with similar employers, and driving qualified applicants to our Talent Acquisition Team
- Use interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with department leads and staff, acting as the bridge between these teams and the larger Marketing Team
- Accurately budget and track expenses related to campaigns and programming, tracking return on investment (ROI) to make educated recommendations about future spending
- Providing detailed reporting on campaigns and programming to leadership
- Attend events and be on-site (once safe to do so) as required
- Other tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- A college diploma or university degree in marketing, communications, events, business administration, or another related field
- 4+ years of experience in a marketing-focused role at a fast-paced company, preferably within the technology sector
- Demonstrated experience as a full-stack marketing professional where you were personally responsible for planning and execution of initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and a strong project manager with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Trustworthy with the ability to manage confidential information
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, control situations, and provide leadership to cross-functional staff
- A dynamic personality with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build cross-functional relationships with team members across the organization demonstrated by a strong network of contacts and relationships
- Ability to work outside of regular 9:00 - 5:30 PM hours and occasional weekends as required
- Ability to travel as required when safe to do so
