Job Purpose

This position will successfully manage and implement advertising and promotional strategy through paid, grassroots, multi-cultural, agency and trade media relationships. This individual is to serve as a market expert as it relates to both local and national advertising trends, platforms, pricing, efficiencies and industry competition. The position will ensure that advertising and promotional campaigns are exposed to the right target audience in the most effective place possible, with the goal of maximizing recognition and reaching customers.

Primary (Essential) Duties

  • Understand organizational and departmental goals in an effort to successfully identify appropriate media plan for cross-platform campaigns that incorporate Team and Partner messaging
  • Assist and oversee deliverables associated with Team broadcast and trade media relationships
  • Manage Media Buying Agency relationship
  • Project manage all of the media that is purchased and procured throughout the calendar year – working collaboratively with media partners and our Agency to insure on time delivery and execution
  • Identify target audience and analyzes media efficiency to ensure media options work appropriately
  • Develop and lead event strategy that promotes awareness and engages fans
  • Plan and oversee all advertising activity including out of home, television, radio, print, digital marketing, social media and direct mail
  • Liaise with advertising agencies to maintain expert knowledge of campaign results and proactively adjust approach as needed to optimize efforts
  • Oversee and track media and advertising budgets to ensure all initiatives are within the approved parameters
  • Lead organizational multi-cultural initiatives
  • Track key performance indicators associated with each media campaign including ROI analysis
  • Conduct research and identify appropriate target demographic associated with each campaign
  • Provide detailed campaign recap documents with a focus on continued learnings
  • Responsible for submitting all creative/digital ticket requests that relate to marketing initiatives not directly associated with Ticket Sales / Marketing Partnerships
  • Provide current, accurate and reliable information to Director of Marketing as to daily, weekly, monthly activities and initiatives in support of Ticket Sales and Service
  • Assist in other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities

  • Knowledge of media trends, terms and value proposition
  • Ability to organize large amounts of information and present top-level summaries
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills
  • Sound numerical, analytical and data management skillset
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
  • Previous media buying and/or planning
  • Results oriented

Experience/Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or similar field is required
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in media/advertising. Prior experience in media planning and/or buying is preferred.
