Position Summary 
The Core Histology Marketing Manager will be responsible for owning and managing the commercial marketing plan for Leica’s Histology Consumables and Microtomy Instrumentation portfolio to deliver incremental growth in the Americas (U.S., Canada, LATAM) market. He/she will be held responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy of products within the Histology Consumables and Microtomy portfolio as well as any new products set to launch.
Major Responsibilities
Marketing Plan and Campaign Development

  • Develop marketing plans, value proposition and positioning by market segment
  • Develop marketingcampaigns, tools, and programs aimed principally at Laboratory Managers and technologist (and secondarily to the Pathologist) to drive demand and increase market share
  • Increase consumables attachment rate via targeted solution selling strategy development (instruments + consumables)
  • Lead Voice of Customer activities to capture product reception and validate new marketing opportunities as well as track market share
  • Define content strategy and develop content aligned with the target persona(s) to drive brand preference
  • Work withdigitalmarketing for campaign execution through appropriate digitalchannels
  • Work withdigitalmarketing to identify and position products to be sold through an Ecommerce channel; create Ecommerce growth goals and reporting;
  • Lead clinical marketing initiatives (e.g. – symposia, clinical studies, testimonials) aimed to increase awareness and brand of the LBS Core Histology portfolio

Portfolio Management

  • Maintain regional product responsibility over the LBS Core Histology Consumables and Microtomy portfolio in working with the global business unit product management team 
  • Drive demand creation activities including customer segmentation, product pricing, competitive benchmarking and sales argumentation

Business Development & Strategy

  • Own the go-to-market strategy plan for Histology Consumables and Microtomy Instrumentation in close collaboration with the global business units (BU) 
  • Develop pricing strategies designed to achieve margin and revenue targets for new and existing products
  • Conduct, execute on business strategy activities to include total available market, market share, segmentation, competitive analysis and product positioning 
  • Collaborate with the BU on product road-mapping, new product development, and product management activities

Required Education, Experience, Skills


  • BS in Science, MBA preferred 



  • Minimum four years of experience in commercial marketing, product management, or consulting 
  • Experience in the tissue diagnostics industry, specifically with Anatomical Pathology, Oncology
  • Demonstrated experience in data-driven marketing and analytics
  • Experienceworking with clinical labs and hospitals 
  • Experience in partnering with KOLs, Scientific Advisory Boards
  • Expertise in presenting to executive-level stakeholders
  • Demonstration of project, team leadership 
  • Experience in business strategy –market & customer segmentation; competitive product benchmarking, financial analysis (ROI, pricing, scenario analysis)

  • MBA desired, BA in business, marketing or similar field
