 Develop and manage marketing opportunities and community initiatives for Spectrum Networks in the Raleigh and Wilmington Markets. Grow brand presence in the region.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Director to execute integrated marketing plans for the region.
  • Manage all on-air and outside media plans and campaigns.
  • Develop Creative Briefs for all promotional requests.
  • Identify, develop and manage all aspects of sponsorships, community events, talent appearances and other community involvement and outreach.
  • Create relationships with outside media outlets and community organizers.
  • Work closely with Government Affairs on news and corporate initiatives.
  • Manage online & on-air community calendar.
  • Implement, oversee and organize all on-channel, cross channel and filler contracts.
  • Manage and coordinate all public speaking engagements and appearances for on-air staff as required, along with facility tours.
  • Maintain and work within a budget.
  • Assist digital engagement team as needed.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Must have an understanding of brand consistency and be versed in utilizing research to drive messaging.
  • Ability to take ideas from concept to completion; organize and execute multiple projects under deadlines, possess strong computer skills and a working knowledge of video production.
  • Knowledge of competitive landscape.
  • Communication: excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate solutions; and able to relate well with diverse populations and age groups.
  • Attitude: requires adaptability, enthusiasm, initiative and a positive approach to problem solving. Must enjoy working closely with others and building relationships.
  • Must be able and willing to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes.
  • Demonstrates proven track record as a detail oriented team player.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Strategic, creative thinker who can drive results.


Preferred QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Experience in local television news, production or marketing. Experience with media sales, cable and television production.
  • Proficient on both PC and MAC operating platforms as well as with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, media production, advertising sales, communications and digital media.
  • Knowledge of news and/or media operations.
  • Minimum 3 years in marketing and/or communications with established track record of managing campaigns and utilizing social media to reach consumers.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, broadcast journalism, marketing or related field.
