Summary Description:

We are actively looking for a Marketing Director to drive Lacoste's US brand. This primarily involves developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the company's saliency and desirability, and to create cut-through ideas that resonate with the US consumer. The Marketing Director will develop and own the brand marketing communication strategy, including messaging, campaigns, and activations across channel and platforms. The ideal candidate will be a professional with a passion for the Lacoste brand, and will be a balanced marketing strategist and executor able to drive creativity and enthusiasm and results in others

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead 360 cross-functional alignment
  • Create and execute sustainable, consumer-centric US marketing plans activating all aspects of the marketing and channel mix such as OTL/digital media, Retail, Events, Ecomm, Social, PR
  • Produce ideas for promotional events (BLACK FRIDAY, SEMI ANNUAL SALES) or activities and execute them efficiently
  • In addition to apparel plans, develop specific growth marketing efforts for footwear
  • Manage and oversee the build-out and execution of a new CRM initiative
  • Monitor progress and submit performance reports to each initiative
  • Responsible for ensuring content provided by HQ is relevant to US market
  • Support general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor's marketing movements
  • Manage budgets amongst projects efficiently and within guidelines
  • Develop and own US Marketing calendar and schedule of events

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in marketing, ideally in luxury retail and/or apparel
  • Leadership and organizing skills: must be a strong project-manager
  • Balance analytical and creative thinking
  • Exquisite communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up to speed with current brand, social and digital marketing techniques and best practices
  • Customer-oriented approach with aptitude in leveraging consumer and marketplace insights
  • French Speaking a plus
  • Sneaker experience a plus

Place of work: New York City. Travel occasionally required within the US and to Europe.
