Summary

The Marketing Director guides the brand strategy and external communications for the Restaurant Group which includes oversight of advertising, publicity, digital platforms, event marketing, philanthropic efforts, signage & collateral, and branded merchandise. This position is responsible for developing and executing plans that increase brand awareness, restaurant visits and customer loyalty. The Marketing Director will work cross-functionally to help achieve the company's strategic and financial goals.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Define annual marketing goals and related KPI's that will be tracked and reported over the course of the year

• Ensure a company-wide understanding of the brand strategy, core customer segments and guest experience standards

• Steward the brand's visual identity; ensure it is consistently presented across all internal and external touch points

• Ensure our successful expansion into new markets through brand building and traffic-driving efforts

• Use data to inform the development of new marketing strategies and tactics, as well as to optimize existing ones

• Develop and execute a promotional calendar that generates incremental sales

• Partner with Operations leaders to create effective restaurant-level initiatives

• Build partnerships and alliances that grow the brand's reach and reputation

• Responsibly allocate and manage a significant annual marketing budget

• Ensure the marketing team's workflow is on-time and on-budget

• Steward relationships with multiple external agencies and vendors

• Identify tools, technologies, or processes that will enhance the impact of the Marketing team's efforts

• Manage and mentor the marketing team


The Skills You'll Bring

• 3+ years experience in managing high-performing marketing teams

• Experience with local, in-market guerilla marketing tactics in addition to digital capabilities

• Track record of results for multi-unit restaurants or other relevant categories

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with the execution of plans

• Experience tracking marketing spend, ROI, and message efficacy

• Excellent communication and selling/influencing skills

• Comfortable with mining and interpreting data from POS systems, Google analytics customer surveys, social media networks, etc

• Strong ability to thrive at a fast paced, rapidly changing company

• Enthusiastic and versatile team player who can stretch up/down as needed
