Daily Job Functions – What’s in your GPS? 

  • Provide strong strategic planning to oversee the departments’ goals in support of the annual corporate business goals
  • Refine and implement the marketing strategy with specific focus on driving customer loyalty, brand awareness and product perception
  • Leverage strong strategic insight; develop and manage marketing programs, campaigns and projects
  • Promote the brand management for the company; be the lead brand champion that evolves the brand presence throughout all types of media
  • Provide leadership for creation and execution of a robust process for creating inbound, qualified leads for the sales team. Provide leadership on how to increase existing customer retention through CRM and direct marketing programs
  • Strategically partner with counterparts in sales and product management to ensure lead generation efforts convert to high-quality sales      prospects
  • Drive day-to-day execution and improvement of the company’s marketing plan
  • Ensure proper and comprehensive tracking of marketing programs including leads, click through, and visits to Karmak properties
  • Identify and monitor appropriate metrics for measuring marketing effectiveness and recommend options for improvement
  • Monitor competitive activity and report intel back to executive and sales/marketing/product management teams
  • Build and manage the entire marketing plan and marketing team
  • Responsible for implementation of the marketing budget as approved by the executive team
  • Manage the personnel activities of the team to include hiring, training, and evaluating employees
  • Be a champion for Karmak and the team, enjoy accountability and be passionate about moving the company forward

Knowledge & Skills – What’s Under the Hood?

  • Expert experience and knowledge of the duties, methods and procedures of the marketing field including in-depth knowledge of marketing, advertising, research, business practices and communications
  • Requires the ability to think strategically, foster change, incorporate innovation and  implement strategies throughout all levels of the organization. Requires exceptional team leadership skills to include the ability to effectively coach, motivate and empower team members    
  • Knowledge of design, implementation, testing and modifying a marketing strategies  ranging from the corporate strategy to the strategy used in a targeted campaign
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing principles, product positioning and service management
  • Project management experience with skills in leading, delegating and improving practices by applying learned experiences
  • Proven success in developing go-to-market strategies for emerging products
  • Knowledge and experience with taking a concept and moving it to a product or service with the appropriate mix and levels of qualitative and quantitative  research
  • Working understanding of B2B sales process and how sales and marketing must work in tandem to maximize sales
  • Requires direct mail knowledge of best practices, and experience with optimal designs for lead creation
  • Understanding of lead scoring systems and procedures
  • Requires high level customer interaction skills and the ability to build and sustain trusted relationships both internally and externally
  • Knowledge  and experience on CRM system managements and marketing automation tools. Requires excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills, sound judgment and computer proficiency
  • A college degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred. In the absence of a degree, additional related experience is required
  • Requires eight or more years of experience in the marketing field, with a minimum of three years of experience in a leadership role
