This position is responsible for driving the creation, planning, messaging, and deployment of marketing initiatives for MML Investors Services, MassMutual Trust Company, and Advice and Financial Planning within the MassMutual Wealth Management organization. These initiatives target both advisors and consumers; are strategically aligned with the Product Management, Sales, and Technology functions; span the full range of media including digital, collateral, print, and direct mail. Ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of investments and the advisor distribution channel, a marketing and strategic mindset, and a focus on measuring and delivering results.


Product/Marketing Concepts – Collaboratively work with various business partners in the creation, development, and management of comprehensive go-to-market strategies to effectively position and differentiate our products with key audiences. Participate in the solution/concept ideation process and provide input concerning market opportunity and product positioning to assist in creation of simple solutions that meet customer needs and support profitable growth.

Marketing Asset Creation and Management – Demonstrate thought leadership in the design of new sales materials that give MassMutual a competitive advantage. Work closely with Sales and field advisory committees to identify new marketing ideas that offer the greatest sales potential. Participate in the development of digital product and marketing materials such as web pages, videos, and podcasts. Work closely with internal creative agency to ensure quality of work product and adherence to brand standards.

Marketing Tools and Technology – Ability to propose and introduce new tools and technology for delivery of marketing content. Understand the needs of advisors and the challenges they face in order to help them more effectively communicate their value proposition through various communications channels.


  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales and/or marketing roles within the investment brokerage, advisory, and wealth management industries
  • Expert knowledge of marketing investment/trust/financial planning solutions
  • College degree required; advanced degree desirable
  • Industry designations – Series 6 or 7


  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of business partners, including (but not limited to) product, marketing, sales, training, communications, competitive intelligence, law and compliance
  • Project management/organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence others and build strong business relationships
  • Responsive to partner and customer needs with a sense of urgency
  • Experience in developing targeted communications and social media marketing campaigns
  • Aptitude for metrics and data analytics, and ability to turn them into actionable intelligence
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
