The Role

  • Maximize revenue and contribution margin from accounts for new and existing business
  • Assure MRO customer satisfaction
  • Manage all resources to maintain a safe and productive MRO facility
  • Use technical knowledge of Spirit’s MRO capabilities to provide technical solutions to customers in all regions
  • Act as a liaison between Wichita technical community and global customers

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide support for the Regional Sales Managers
  • Maintain strong customer contact and look for new revenue opportunities
  • Respond to customer inquiries on Spirit products (MRO and Product Support)
  • Respond to AOG communications and liaise with other Spirit locations to provide AOG support
  • Understand Spirit AeroSystem’s product portfolio and assist customers with order placement
  • Collaborate on preparation of new proposals and contracts including contract price and margin calculation
  • Feedback to Sales and Marketing management on customer needs from a technical perspective
  • Act as customer advocate within Spirit ACS Technical community
  • Coordinate with Spirit ACS to provide sales and marketing inputs for bid preparation
  • Provide support for on-site customer visits
  • Ensure that service performance conforms to contract
  • Manage customer expectations during contract execution period
  • Interface between customer and operations during contract performance or event execution period

Skills & Experience

  • BA/BS in Business Marketing, Engineering, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 5-10 year’s experience in aviation. Strong commercial aviation and/or maintenance, repair and overhaul experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Spirit MRO capabilities
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong social skills with ability to network
  • Team player
  • 3-5 years combination of technical sales or customer marketing
  • Capable of significant financial analysis
  • Basic understanding of contractual terms
  • Strong ethical core and experience working to US Ethics law (FCPA)
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams
