ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(40%) Deliver Territory and Market Volume/Sales Objectives

  • Identifies, develops and executes on new sales opportunities within territory, market and zone, including new customer segments, new products and service lines, new accounts, etc.
  • Partners with radiologists to market existing and new product lines (clinical services), to new and existing clients
  • Delivers and/or coordinates educational presentations to existing and prospective clients on emerging applications offered by the Company
  • Conducts and/or coordinates educational and marketing seminars at local and national trade shows
  • Facilitates monthly sales and marketing conference call with corporate marketing
  • Monitors performance and profitability of services offered for assigned market(s)
  • Proactively partners with Marketing department on development and execution of sales strategies for market and zone initiatives
  • Maintains productive relationships with customer base in defined market through delivery of extraordinary customer service and support
  • Responds to customer and patient complaints and partners with operations leaders on appropriate service recovery
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationship with sales, center associates, operations and Radiologists
  • Documents and maintains all customer contact/activity and information in customer relationship management system as well as in related internal information systems
  • Assists market leader in payor relations by monitoring payor referral activity and providing insight on new payor opportunities that help meet business objectives

(40%) Sales Team Leadership

  • Hires, trains, coaches and develops sales team, leveraging the Market Leadership, Sales Leadership and Human Resources as appropriate
  • Provides day-to-day management of the sales team, including:
    • Setting goals, targets, metrics and expectations, including leading the annual budget planning process
    • Regular assessment, coaching and documentation of sales performance to achieve sales goals and business objectives
  • Completes regular one-on-ones and ride-alongs with the sales team
  • Leads regular sales team (and other market-level) meetings to assess strategies and tactics to drive volumes
  • Identifies developmental opportunities and projects to grow sales team skills
  • Successfully leads change management initiatives
  • Works with Medical Director and Radiologists; serves as a resources for them including attending meetings and presenting sales updates
  • Manages market-wide marketing and promotion budget with Market and Zone Leadership
  • Ensures utilization of customer database (salesforce.com) within the team, consistent with company standards and expectations
  • Functions as a sales resource for corporate departments

(15%) Target Market Research & Analysis

  • With Market and Sales leadership, facilitates and support the strategic planning process
  • Develops market targeting and segmentation strategies, by product line, for defined market
  • Partners with market leadership to develop and execute strategic marketing and territory plans to ensure profitable growth and increased market share
  • Takes leadership role in identifying key strategic customers for business development opportunities and works with Market Leadership to grow relationships and market through these activities
  • Conducts on-going market research to identify new opportunities, applications and trends
  • Provides management with market intelligence and competitive analysis reports
  • Partners with Market and Sales Leadership to identify, develop and implement market, zone, and nation-wide initiatives, products, service lines and projects

Required:

  • Associate's degree
  • Minimum 8 years marketing and sales experience in a health care setting, preferably in the diagnostic imaging area
  • Minimum 1-2 years of spreadsheet software usage, Excel preferred
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • 5+ years in the Account Executive/Senior Account Executive role
  • Previous management experience
