What You'll Do

At Cisco, we are building the world's best Customer Experience (CX) Team to accelerate the company’s transition to a recurring revenue software-centric model. The new model will be rooted in the vision of “delivering the best customer experience in the industry that accelerates success for our customers and profitable growth for Cisco and our partners”.

We're looking for an amazing market and competitive intelligence manager to help our $12B Services business grow. This is a critical CX role in which you'll:

  • Identify strategic trends in the CX technology and business landscape
  • Systematically analyze selected markets, key players and other strategic CX themes across technologies, offers and GTM segments
  • Systematically track strategic themes on probability / impact change
  • Consult with the business to assure the correct strategy and fit for purpose CX roadmaps that grow share and drive customer outcomes

Because you'll cover a subset of Cisco addressed technology markets, you'll handle a continuous pipeline of activities including trend analysis, market sizing, competitive analysis, scenarios analysis and synthesis of market insights that supportstrategic initiatives prioritized by CX leadership.

You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with key stakeholders, have visibility with senior leadership and engage in matrix-managed projects, making you a key influencer of the CX/services business globally.

You have proven skills in strategic business analysis, project management, and operations corporate experience. You are highly organized and a self-starter. You're eager to learn and eager to dig in to help wherever you can. You’re able to manage multiple priorities across complex projects. You can convey complex concepts in the simplest of terms. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and multi-cultural business environment and you can work with a range of sensitive and confidential issues.

At minimum, we expect you to have:

  • A BA/BS degree with 10 years working experience in the IT industry and 5 or more years of related business experience in a business/market/competitive analyst capacity
  • Undergraduate degree in business, economics, engineering, math, finance, marketing
  • Ability to understand markets, develop market perspectives and understand competitive strategies. Have strategic orientation with the ability to convert findings into actionable recommendations
  • Strong understanding of services in general and Cisco portfolio in particular
  • Ability to collaborate effectively to accomplish assignments with minimal supervision, including strong capacity to partner, work horizontally and bring multiple resources together to accomplish shared goals. Able to work effectively at all levels and functions of an organization, to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Proven track record in identifying, developing and managing major business opportunities, with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Proven program analytical, data management, program/project management skills, including excellent verbal and written communications, facilitation, problem solving, analytical, and presentation abilities
  • Highly results-oriented; ability to influence teams on direction through demonstration of business value

  • Desired Skills
  • MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred with 5 or more years in corporate strategy/planning roles at a major technology company, or management consulting
  • Knowledge of Customer Experience (formerly Services) business
  • Additional knowledge of Customer Success ideal
