TRC is seeking a Market Director/Sr. Client Service Manager to develop environmental remediation and civil construction project opportunities throughout the United States. The position requires a strong business development, technical, and financial background and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships. The position will report to the Unit Vice President in our Madison, Wisconsin office and will focus on the environmental remediation market. Location near a concentration of industrial and manufacturing facilities or corporate headquarters is a plus.
Our Market Directors/Sr. Client Service Managers:
Perform sales development of clients through direct client contact to capture new and follow-on work, expand TRC service offerings, and support TRC value propositions.
Identify and develop new business opportunities, and delivery of responsive, high quality services for to the environmental sector (e.g., air, water, waste water, storm water, sustainability, solid waste, and remediation).
Work with project managers on strategic pursuits, including proposal development and client meetings, and help to maintain strong relationships with key planning leaders throughout the US.
Lead and mentor project managers on strategic pursuits including proposal development and client meetings, and help maintain strong relationships with key leaders within the TRC Environmental Sector.
Develop new client relationships and obtain bid opportunities.
Review RFQs and assist in preparing proposals.
Cross-sell and increase business from accounts under management, working with other company project managers and sales professionals on developing efficient business development strategies for new and existing customers.
Participate in strategic growth initiatives to expand TRCs client and delivery footprint across the country.
Drive organic growth of operation through new service areas and expansion of existing service areas.
Have strong communications skills both written and oral.
Interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
Perform in either a 100% Sales, or 80% Seller/20% Doer business model.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field of study.
Minimum twenty (20) years of experience selling and delivering environmental compliance and/or investigation and remediation services through a consulting/engineering firm.
Experience selling $3M+ yearly Net Revenue of environmental remediation services to new and existing clients throughout the country, but primarily focused within the Midwest and Southeast regions.
Recent client relationships within the manufacturing and industrial sector.
Experience developing and making presentations to potential clients, especially in conference settings.
Experience in preparing proposals and managing work.
In addition to the basic qualifications the qualifications below are highly desired but not required:
Staff management or operational management experience.
