  • Summary:
  • The Market Development Manager's primary role is to penetrate markets with our strategic products and to provide education and technical support for surgeons and sales reps performing their initial training and surgeries within our strategic products portfolio, and other products as required. While reporting to the Director of Market Development, the Market Development Manager works in collaboration with the Sales Force, Regional Sales Directors, and marketing management to manage their region's launch of the minimally invasive portfolio and training queue and schedule, ensuring that appropriate cadaver training, pre-surgery preparation, sales training, and case coverage are executed with excellence.
  • This is a field based position. Up to 75% travel is required. The territory includes Denver, CO, Portland, OR, Salt Lake City, UT and Boise, ID.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute tactical plans to achieve business objectives against Business Unit strategic imperatives and priorities
  • Convert target surgeons and close key target accounts working with RSLs, DSLs, and Sales Reps
  • Lead clinical or technical educational updates (WebEx, Journal Reviews) targeted for the sales force around timely needs
  • Work with Rep Training team to support in-field training initiatives
  • Work with district managers to identify, prioritize and execute key field based training activities and medical education events
  • Develop professional and sales relationships by actively engaging with Physicians, key customers and accounts
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/sales, clinical or related degree
  • 5-8 years in Sales or Marketing in medical device
  • This position requires excellent technical proficiency with foot and ankle hardware and biologic products
  • Experience in C-Suite discussion and negotiations in the medical field preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including formal presentation skills before both small and large groups
  • Must be able to review detailed surgeon educational qualifications and train surgeon candidates based upon a thorough understanding of the product, and effective medical education methods
  • Demonstrated experience working with surgeons and hospital support staff in the operating room environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, make critical decisions rapidly, and maintain composure in a stressful surgical environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
