Responsibilities:   Strategic Management and Leadership

  • Significantly drive the further development and full implementation of Ulteig’s Water Lifeline Sector® plan
  • Regularly meet with and engage deeply with the business advisory and leadership team
  • Provide input and direction on growing and expanding the organizational structure for the water practice at Ulteig

  Sales and Market Leadership

  • Influence, articulate and manage Ulteig’s go-to-market plan for water
  • Develop pipeline of municipal water/wastewater clients and projects, managing the pipeline and client relationship from development all the way through successful project delivery
  • Develop Client Relationship and Opportunity Development Plans
  • Work closely with business development, marketing, technical and field management teams in client/service offering and value proposition development
  • Work with technical team to identify and allocate resources to projects and other business activities
  • Utilize market research to analyze the competitive landscape and works closely with the technical management team to utilize data from trade shows and conferences
  • Join and seek out leadership positions within industry organizations and community engineering associations to enhance Ulteig’s reputation and thought leadership position
  • Maintain accurate client and sales opportunity information

  • Creative and analytic – balance objective, analytical thinking (and organizational skills) with creative, flexible problem solving

  Education and Work Experience:

  • B.S. in Engineeringrequired Civilpreferred
    • Masters in Environmental/Sanitary Engineering or Business preferred
  • Industry involvement in one or more municipal or water/wastewater associations, such as AWWA, WEF, or APWA
  • Water/wastewater operator certifications a plus
  • Experience working in and selling consulting services required
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Sales/Business Development (dedicated or seller/doer)
  • Minimum of 10+ years in the water/wastewater and/or water resources space, with preference given to experience in municipal water/wastewater experience
  • Proven proficiency in all major dimensions of developing, selling, and delivering comprehensive water solutions
  • Proven experience and in-depth exposure to leading strategic initiatives and strategic plan development
  • Current on relevant technical advancements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Activity level and time commitment typically exceeds a 40-hour work week, including significant travel commitments
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
