Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and test software applications that control video units within a video wall system
  • Work closely with Electrical, Optical, and Mechanical Engineering departments to ensure the software applications properly setup, test, and tune wall systems
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to implement software applications to meet manufacturing process requirements
  • Ensure the software applications properly measure pass/fail criteria for factory acceptance
  • Assist with unit and system-level debugging and performance optimization
  • Work with the R&D team to provide custom software to test Proof of Concept subsystems for advanced projects
  • Contribute to the development of production and engineering data queries and reports
  • Work with the lead database developer on continuous improvements to the test data collection and reporting API
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget

Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering or computer science, MS a plus
  • 0-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer
  • Proven software engineering design skills a plus
  • Experience designing, developing, prototyping, and testing software applications for manufacturing or service use a plus
  • Experience in database development and query and reporting a plus
  • Experience with requirements derivation, documentation, and traceability through test and production
  • Experience releasing software to production a plus
  • Solid organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work successfully across functions
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in developing applications on Windows 10 platform using C#
  • Experience developing applications using Visual Studio 2017
  • Experience with Windows .NET APIs, up to and including version 4.0+ (including the use of WPF, WCF and LINQ frameworks)
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server a plus
  • Experience using Data Acquisition devices to capture data and to generate pass/fail metrics
  • Experience generating standalone application installers
  • Experience creating and deploying Windows DLLs
  • Experience implementing data processing algorithms
  • Experience interfacing software with external instrumentation a plus
  • Knowledge of video and/or optical systems a plus
