Plan, lead, and coordinate continuous improvement efforts and manage Production System implementation and employee involvement.

 

*** Prepare, execute, revise, and measure progress on the Site Continuous Improvement Plan.

 

*** Focus site leadership and employee teams on assessment, planning, actions, and measurement employing tools and methodologies.

 

*** Utilize Value Stream Mapping principles to guide plant strategies and drive operational excellence.

 

*** Interact with production supervisors and employees to identify optimization opportunities.

 

*** Employ visual management and similar for process improvements and benefits to ensure actions are driven to closure and sustained while being made visual to stakeholders.

 

*** Drive elimination of waste and reduce variability to yield concrete operational and product savings, productivity gains, and alignment with Annual Operating Planning objectives.

 

*** Ensure that predicted savings are tracked, validated, and posted to the site's operating results.

 

*** Facilitate interventions and employee involvement teams throughout the site and within the supply community.

 

*** Track site continuous improvement efforts and ensure results are sustained through rigorous standardization and compliance.

 

*** Create and maintain Standard Work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, 5S Checklists, and include a comprehensive audit process.

 

*** Identify opportunities to implement common processes and best practices from other sites and disseminate & act upon relevant industry and corporate benchmarking data.

 

*** Provide technical expertise related to Lean Production Tools such as Toyota Production Systems and similar.

 

*** Complete Site Continuous Improvement Leader training modules, or equivalent.
