Description:  This position provides technical support for a variety of machining and assembly processes, including CNC equipment. Major responsibilities include enhancing Machining and assembly processes by assuring that parts or assemblies are processed and tooled to meet optimum quality, quantity, and cost requirements. Interface will occur with Work Group Advisors, Work Groups, Quality and Product Engineering, and Manufacturing Support Services. Otherresponsibilities include developing cost reduction programs through manufacturing efficiency improvements, schedule attainment, and first run capacity. Specific results include continuous improvement of safety, quality, cost, workflow, and on-time product delivery. Perform supervisory duties as required.

Major responsibilities include enhancing component manufacturing by assuring that parts or assemblies are processed and tooled to meet optimum quality, quantity and cost requirements. Provide technical support to analyze and develop manufacturing control systems. Serve as a team leader on complex assignments by interfacing with supervisors, quality and product engineering, hourly employees, and manufacturing services. Specific results include continuous improvement of safety, quality, cost, workflow, and on-time product delivery. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering. A minimum of five years related manufacturing experience. A knowledge and prior implementation of cellular manufacturing, J.I.T. and S.P.C.. is required. Experience should also include five years of detail process planning and manufacturing engineering activities. Direct experience in a variety of machining processes (milling, drilling, boring, turning, ID/OD grinding, deburring) including inspection, equipment selection, tooling selection, feed/speed specification, and new product/design introduction. Otherresponsibilities include CNC machine programming, cutting tool calculations, methods development, and technical/floor support for resolution of quality or process issues. 1.
