Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer, Product

Job Purpose:

The Engineer will be responsible for independently applying engineering theories and principles, managing moderately complex or contributing to complex projects in the design of process and support of products in a systems and solutions manufacturing environment. The person in this role will be responsible for the following duties.

Repair and service process design execution and reporting.

Monitor process performance and enhance through continuous improvement initiatives.

Understanding the latest repair techniques, the Engineer implements continuous improvement programs and strives for excellence "Lean/Sigma Methodologies."

Defines requirements, planning, scheduling, monitoring milestones and costs, and works to remove barriers to project success.

Troubleshoots complex repair process performance problems. Provides technical guidance to less experienced team members.

Conducts independent research into complex engineering problems to develop new operating policies, capabilities, and processes.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

Takes ownership for Engineering and Quality processes under his/her control for his/her specific programs and products.

Creates Process Assembly documentation, responsible for delivering up to date and accurate work instructions

Responsible for BOM accuracy and Engineering Change Order activity

Performs qualification on new processes being introduced.

Leads Quality circles, strives for continuous quality product improvements

Work with Engineering design teams to improve NPI and time to market initiatives.

Participate/Drive the DFx (design feedback) process.

Education and Experience:

A background in the execution of best practice process control is required.

minimum of 5 years as a Process or Product Engineer; preferably in a Systems/Solution Integration environment.

A Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering

Experience with Server/Storage/Network products

Experience with Data Collection and Reporting tools

Experience with lean manufacturing principles.

Strong Program Management Skills

Understanding of operating methodologies in a Systems/Solution Integration environment.

Demonstrated work history in management of electronics manufacturing operations is highly desirable.

Lean Six Sigma certification and/or training desired.

Training or certification with the following industry standards:

ISO 9000, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, AS-9100, IPC 610, ANSI J STD 001, ANSI ESD 20/20.

High competency in computer skills is required. Advanced training or work experience with spreadsheets and data analysis is required.
