We are looking for Manufacturing Engineer II to work onsite at Fairfield facility - CA. The Manufacturing Engineer II will directly supporting production operations and overseeing a production area with multiple fabrication cells and processes.
Relocation Assistance will be provided.
What You Will Do
NOTE: The role involves hands-on floor support, not purely design or validation.
Develop, implement, validate and maintain manufacturing operations, standard work, work instructions, and technical documentation to ensure compliant and efficient production.
Lead manufacturing plans, tooling strategies, and production methodologies, including fixture/tool design and tool life management.
Design, develop, test, and implement assembly fixtures, tooling, and production support equipment.
Conduct variation, capability, and manufacturability analyses to ensure processes meet performance and quality requirements.
Conduct process validation activities to confirm product quality and readiness for production.
Apply knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods—including ultrasonic, radiographic/X-ray, and N-ray inspections—to ensure products meet engineering specifications.
Drive producibility, process capability, and product/process improvements using lean manufacturing principles, smart factory initiatives, and advanced engineering techniques.
Investigate and resolve technical, operational, and quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Interface and work with Production Operators, Design, Quality, and other Manufacturing Engineers to solve problems, improve manufacturability, and ensure products are manufactured in compliance with drawings and specifications.
Participate in Project Management Team (PMT) meetings and product reviews to align technical solutions across disciplines and ensure production readiness.
Partner with Production, Quality, Design Engineering, EH&S, and Value Streams to ensure safety, quality, compliance, improve performance, and meet program objectives.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or similar is preferred) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment.
Experience with SolidWorks (3D modeling software).
Experience in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in fast paced and/or highly regulated aerospace or space manufacturing environments.
Experience with aerospace quality systems and compliance environments (AS9100, AS9110, AS9120).
Experience supporting machine operations, including fixture/tool design, tool life management, routing/work instructions, and CNC programming familiarity.
Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (ultrasonic, radiographic/X-ray, N-ray) and interpretation of results.
Strong GD&T interpretation and tolerance analysis capability.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective technical communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Self-starter mindset with ability to work autonomously and lead complex manufacturing initiatives.
Knowledge of PFMEA, process validation, SPC, RCCA, control plans, and configuration control practices.

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
