Manufacturing Engineer

Education: BS Engineering

Years Experience: 3-7years is ideal.         

Great opportunity for Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer seeking diverse product development experience as my client is constantly creating new or upgrading existing mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic products.

In this role as Manufacturing Engineer, they would be the go-to Lean and Continuous Improvement expert for a high-mix electro-mechanicalproduct lines.  High visibility to Operations Management ? Plant Manager and Director of Operations as well as Engineering.  They are seeking someone they can develop to move into Management roles as retirements and promotions occur in the next 2?3years. Multi-faceted role working throughout assembly, test, product development and supply chain operations.

?     Responsible for supporting the R &D Product Groups for new product development programs with existing and new suppliers. There are literally over 100,000 SKU's ...the diversity of products are huge.

?     Will be based at corporate headquarters means higher visibility to Executive team.

?     Directs and/or participates in continuous improvement activities for existing products.

?     Communicates with the Design Engineers, Tooling Engineers and various vendors during the development of the product. Ensures that the product being developed meets customer and plant expectations.  

?     Attend secondary equipment trials to insure safety and quality standards are met.

?     Develop and prepare reports of progress and analysis of projects as required by Management

Requirements:

BS Industrial or Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineer or similar

Experience in improving assembly operations, moving product from R&D into full production.

? Experience in using methodologies in support of manufacturing process improvement efforts (LEAN, 5s, etc.).

? Working knowledge of digital and analogcircuitry (design, test, troubleshooting).

? Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.

? Working knowledge of software and design platforms including but not limited to: CAD, SolidWorks, LabView

MUST be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
