Provide hands-on engineering support to facilitate timely resolution of manufacturing performance issues as they pertain to equipment, instrumentation, processes, and product.
*** Assist with plastics processing equipment and tooling design for batch and continuous flow processes (extrusion, drawing, and forming).
*** Investigate, troubleshoot, and implement corrective actions to root cause performance issues.
*** Recommend and implement improvements to materials, equipment, and processes to maximize productivity in support of operational goals.
*** Troubleshoot materials and analyze processing techniques.
*** Material testing in accordance to regulatory standards.
*** Provide technical expertise related to analytical engineering problem solving methodologies such as Process Mapping, Cause & Effects, and Failure Modes & Effects Analysis; statistical software such as Minitab; and similar.
*** Serve as subject matter expert related to injection molding, tubing extrusion, thermal forming, thermodynamic properties of thermoplastics, material formulations, and similar.
