The Manufacturing Engineer supports Operations by working directly with Supply Chain Management and Quality Assurance performing the role of Process Expert for cable and wire harness and power outlet assembly. Develops processes and tooling to manufacture products in the safest and most efficient way possible, with a focus on design for manufacturability, assembly, testability and serviceability. Routinely visits supplier to assess process capability and assists in the evaluation of supplier.


  • Support Supply Chain Management as process expert for cable harness assemblies coming from suppliers, completing on-site audits and process validations.
  • Through new product development and introduction activities, ensure new products release to production fully optimized for manufacturability, test and repair.
  • Partners with AES' Suppliers and assists in ensuring our requirements are understood and achievable for new designs, providing feedback to the new product introduction teams when challenges or opportunities for improved manufacturability exist.
  • Establishes or improves manufacturing strategies and practices implementing innovative methods, tools and equipment in support of manufacturing, assembly and test operations on these and other AES products.
  • Provides sustaining support for wiring harness and power outlet assemblies at AES and/or our Suppliers.
  • Design and develop fixtures or assembly aids used in the manufacturing and assembly process.
  • Supports lean efforts for the elimination of waste in all processes.

This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.



Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline required from four-year College or university and 5+ years related experience.


Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
