TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer

LOCATION: Oklahoma City, OK

REPORTS TO:Manufacturing Engineering Manager

COMPENSATION RANGE: $80, to $90,

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: BS in Engineering, Technology, Physical Science or Business disciplines

CITIZENSHIP: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder and able to work for any U.S. Employer

MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE: Automotive: Engineering mechanics and physics; design

NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Several

POSITION SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for processes and improvements of the manufacturing systems. General duties will include: continuous improvement; process improvement; root cause and prevention initiatives; process design; tooling and gauging design; coordination of new product launches.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •         Design for tooling and gauges
  •         Integration of continuous improvement process involving LEAN and Value Stream
  •         Employee team planning; engagement; mentoring and training
  •         New product launch involvement
  •         Translating and implementing customer product specifications
  •         Preparing and submitting new process change documentation for customer approval
  •         Involvement with performance metrics

 

MUST HAVE:

  • BS in Engineering, Technology, Physical Science or Business disciplines
  • 5+ Years in a manufacturing environment; preferably automotive
  • Extensive shop floor experience
  • Strong knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, presses, fixtures and gauges
  • Experience with manufacturing Operations, Engineering and Business Development
  • Excellent knowledge in LEAN Manufacturing Practices
  • Ability to prioritize, give time estimates and assign tasks
  • Ability to work well under pressure for production requirements
  • Ability to work withinternal and external customers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in designing software programs, AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Spread sheets
