ABB is seeking Manager Business Systems to, develop, maintain, control, audit and analyze a wide variety of business processes and information systems. Continuous business improvements along cross functional disciplines. Formulate and define scope and objectives and develop solutions to complex problems involving applications, business analysis and improvement activities. Devise and implement measures to improve operations & quality and increase customer satisfaction.

Tasks:

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Coordinate business functional leads and domain experts for front-end, engineer-ing, production planning and execution, supply chain, controlling

• Support BU domain experts on global program implementation locally to follow the BU specified global processes and solutions / harmonize the way business is con-ducted

• Be the single point of contact for any global BU IS related programs. (SPEX, MES, Configurator, Service, Operation, Engineering etc). In some cases, also take the project leader role. i.e. SPEX, or to help to identify the proper local business resources on the BU programs; i.e. direct responsibility for SPEX implementation and maintenance

• Establish business process for project / sales order costing, use of costing sheets

• Prepare, implement and improve order configuration and engineering investigation, evaluation, recommendation to support the business processes and their imple-mentation. Alignment of sales configuration tools, engineering tools and SAP backend

• Prepare future requirements for business engineering, marketing & sales and manufacturing changes

• Design and implement cost-effective business processes using information sys-tems based solutions to business problems. Develop, prepare and implement pro-cesses that insure reduced cycle time, reduced overhead and improve over all pro-cess efficiency. Preparation of flowcharts, diagrams, analysis and specifications

• Investigate / prioritize business requirements to define scope and objectives of the projects and prepare schedules, limitations time and desired results

• Coordinate with LBU functions and Business Engagement Manager (BEM)
Work with local BEM and global BEM on budget and demand planning process for the local unit

• Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve complex problems, and develop and implement measures to prevent reoccurrence along with devising modifications and recom-mend ways to improve

• Maintain, or provide guidance for maintenance of a wide variety of systems. Pro-vide support; ensure accuracy of information and responsiveness to customers (in-ternal & external requirements)

• Lead and coordinate the work of less experienced staff and provide training and support to business process owners

Requirements:

Basic qualifications :
* Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Information Systems or Business Processes ; OR
* Master's degree and 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Information Systems or Business Processes

Preferred qualifications :
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing operations, information systems, quotation tools, engineering, sales, marketing and their applications, and ability to influence decisions and cost-effectively provide cross functional support
• Strong analytical skills, initiative and ingenuity to solve complex problems and implement remedial measures
• Strong communications skills to discuss and negotiate resolution of controversial issues
