Maxim Integrated Products is searching for an experienced marketing leader responsible for driving the worldwide marketing efforts. Individual will lead a global marketing team focused on creating market awareness & demand for Maxim’s innovative high-performance analog and mixed-signal products and technologies. At Maxim Integrated, we’re solving engineering problems and empowering design innovation, enabling our customers to create products that shape our world.
This role will provide leadership and ownership for the development and management of cohesive marketing plans for all outbound marketing with the Business Units and worldwide Sales Team which will achieve business, and financial goals. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing with accountability to the General Managers of our 6 Business Units.
The MD of Marketing will help drive growth with our internal and external teams through the development and execution of a global marketing strategy and plans. The MD is responsible to lead the global team to design and develop marketing strategies, campaigns and execution plans to grow Maxim’s business across a variety of audiences, products, and market segments around the world. The MD will be responsible for managing a global team, and will oversee all outbound marketing functions and activities.
The ideal candidate will bring marketing vision, strategy, and operational leadership at a global scale. This individual will bring a passion and demonstrated extensive working knowledge/experience in combining the best of traditional marketing practices while taking advantage of new innovative practices.
This leader will develop and execute a clearly defined marketing strategy that drives growth and aligns to our top corporate initiative to “Expand our Fan Base”.
Able to conceive and deliver compelling programs to enable Unassisted Design Wins.
He or she will be the expert on B2B Marketing within Maxim globally, driving all marketing efforts, with Business Units and Sales teams, plus partner and channel teams.
This individual must foster strong engagement and healthy cooperative partnerships with Business Units and Sales teams, plus partner and channel teams.
Able to develop and manage business messaging and narratives that increase Maxim’s reputation and further expand our position in the market.
Create a high performing team that productively collaborates on developing and driving product line marketing strategies across all Business Units during the product development, launch and introduction phases.
Focused on marketing activities which align to corporate and business initiatives, working collaboratively across business group to support all marketing needs, but effectively prioritizing and balancing resources accordingly.
Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, trade shows, collateral materials, and website design and content.
Oversee product marketing including responsibility for Maxim’s New Product Introduction Management Process
Experience in driving Sales Enablement, demonstrated competency in ensuring internal and external sales personnel are equipped to effectively sell, represent Maxim’s extensive product lines.
Lead and inspire a global organization with diverse expertise with the goal to grow and develop in alignment with the business and personal goals.
Attract, motivate, develop, and retain highest quality team members.
Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities.
Manage budget & resources worldwide – ensuring marketing plans that get executed as planned.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
15+ years of successful B2B marketing, world-class integrated campaigns on a global basis, preferably with a global B2B corporation.
10+ years in a large ($1B+) matrixed global company leading product marketing functions.
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
Strong working knowledge of digital marketing concepts and tools, including marketing automation like Eloqua, Marketo, etc.
Demonstrated leadership architecting websites, demand creation programs, analytics, and lead generation and qualification.
Established and innovative marketing leader with a broad, diverse marketing background.
Highly collaborative with the ability to lead and work effectively across direct and virtual teams. Experience working closely with
Executive management, Business Unit and Sales organizations.
Ability to build trust and effective relationships quickly, both with his internal “customers,” his team, and his peers.
Strong experience in semiconductor content marketing.
Proven success in driving sales in technology products, with strength in creating marketing plans that drive product demand.
Highly analytical with direct experience driving Marketing ROI and campaign analytics.
Expert level acumen in, Go-to-Market Strategy, plan development and implementation across all marketing vehicles
Exceptional executive presence, proven organizational leader with positive management feedback from employees/peers,
demonstrated experience at building strong teams and leading virtual teams.
Independent thinking with strong internal compass to raise issues and anticipate requirements for he business as well as for marketing.
Demonstrated abilities to break down roadblocks and resolve obstacles, resulting in better partnerships
Sets the standard for collaboration with internal and external partner groups
Presence suitable to addressing the board of directors, the financial community, industry analysts and key partners regarding marketing strategy and corporate direction
Track record of increasing responsibility and getting maximum leverage out of existing resources
Prior experience in product business unit leadership a plus.
