Overview

This position is responsible for establishing and servicing relationships with businesses generating revenues of $15 million to $150 million, with a focus on businesses with revenues between $20 and $75 million within a particular geographic market. The Commercial Banking Senior Client Manager is also responsible for generating new business relationships across the Bank’s various business lines and playing a leadership role within the office.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes pricing for loans within guidelines established at the Division and Group level; provides input regarding loan product pricing and features for loans over approval authority.
  • Responsible for adherence to all compliance programs, including but not limited to, completion of all required and assigned training modules by establishing due dates.
  • Responsible for appropriately structuring credit requests for clients/prospects and jointly working with Underwriters and Credit Analysts to submit a loan package for approval
  • Responsible for delivering and enhancing organization’s competitive strategy of providing exceptional personal attention and building business relationships.

  • Gathers market intelligence so that market opportunities may be capitalized on as they occur and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
  • Participates in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the bank within the designated marketplace.
  • Ensures that client service personnel maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude achieving stated service standards.
  • Implements policies and procedures to comply with fundamental business and credit priorities of the bank.
  • Understands and complies with requirements of all laws and regulations applicable to position.
  • Mentors and coaches other Client Managers on the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

                              

Knowledge and Skills:

* Market knowledge of the San Fernando Valley and surrounding area strongly desired

* Analytical and research skills.

* Excellent Bank product and service knowledge

* Strong marketing and negotiation skills

*Technology proficient

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Finance, Accounting, Analysis of Financial Statements and Tax Returns

 

Education and/or Experience:

* 8+ years of commercial lending experience

* Formal credit training from a major commercial bank.

* Thorough knowledge of commercial lending, sales, and financial service needs of middle market and large

corporate companies and/or specific industry designated.

*Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance or business-related subject
