U.S. Bank's Ascent Private Capital Management seeks a Managing Director of Private Banking (MD, Banking). The MD, Banking will be the senior banker of the multi-disciplinary, Seattle-based, Pacific Northwest regional team, exclusively serving ultra-high net worth (UHNW) families with average net worth above $300MM. The MD, Banking is responsible for managing and growing the PNW team's banking business for family office clients, including: lending, deposits, mortgage, cash management and all related banking products and services.
Ascent offers a collegial and highly-collaborative culture focused on proactive, customized solutions for its' family office clients. Ascent clients benefit from a state-of-the-industry UHNW advisory platform that includes banking, open architecture investment management, trust and estate services, multigenerational and succession planning, and family leadership and legacy offerings including education, family governance, philanthropic planning and family history.
The MD, Banking will serve as lead and subject-matter expert for banking services provided to team clients, and should also embrace the challenge of growing the banking business through proactive client engagement and development of new clients and opportunities.
It is imperative the MD, Banking have strong credit acumen, including comprehensive knowledge of deal structure, as he or she ultimately will approve all underwriting content. Applicants must have a UHNW, commercial, commercial real estate or corporate banking background. He or she should have experience with a wide range of lending solutions of $10MM+, including: liquid asset secured lines, residential and commercial real estate financing, aircraft and yacht financing, unsecured lines and loans, and other customized lending. The MD, Banking should be comfortable evaluating client financial information and serving as a credit consultant to proactively suggest solutions to clients.
Likewise, the MD, Banking must have excellent interpersonal skills, and be outwardly focused to develop and cultivate a strong external network of professionals, both inside and outside of U.S. Bank, to identify and pursue banking opportunities as a gateway to broader Ascent engagement.
This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. The MD, Banking will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of offer or termination of employment.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field
- 10 or more years of banking experience
- Five or more years of managerial experience
