Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Initiate new client relationships and collaborate with sector focused investment bankers on their clients
- Engage in marketing activities with existing and new potential clients and manage deal pipeline
- Introduce related topics through client engagement calls, information updates, and hosted events
- Develop financing ideas and proposals based on changes in the market and client needs
- Lead execution of transactions, while collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals
- Review and analyze client financial statements and projections, financial modeling, accounting, due diligence on balance sheet and P&Ls
- Create and present deliverables to a client on project scope, findings, and results
- Generate annual speaker engagements at relevant conferences
- Mentor, lead and develop team members
- Maintain professional image of the company and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University; MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degrees/credentials desirable
- 15+ years of experience within the financial institutions sector at a nationally recognized investment banking firm (including significant origination and execution experience with both M&A and public financing transactions)
- FINRA Series 79 required (can sponsor during probationary period if obtained within 3 months); Series 24 preferred
- Experience and understanding of the drivers of, stakeholders and sponsors of Environmental, Social and Governance transactions
- Proven track record with increasing responsibilities of lead generation and transaction execution
- Excellent business oriented analytical and writing skills; strong proficiency with modelling
- Self-driven with ability to work independently/remotely under pressure, but possessing strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with an ability to bring in new clients
- Self-driven with ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
