Our Cyber Risk & Information Security Practice (CRIS) is a rapidly growing part of the Legal Technology Solutions Segment of our business.  Our professionals help our clients address their critical information security challenges, including incident investigation/response, as well as assessing and reducing information security risks. At its core, Global Legal Technology Solutions delivers strategic solutions for its clients requiring in-depth or rapid-response analysis of large sets of structured and unstructured data.  Our professionals have been engaged to provide consulting services to some of the largest companies and law firms in the United States. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage key facets of large engagements or multiple small engagements, including project scoping, budget preparation, work plan development, staff supervision, client interaction, and relationship building
  • Conduct data incident analytics on numerous projects involving the identification of potentially sensitive personal and medical data relevant to cyber security investigations
  • Implement methods to extract and collect client data:
    • Includes documentation gathering, client IT interviews, and process testing
    • Create relational databases to interpret large sets of structured and unstructured data using multiple programs to include Microsoft SQL Server
    • Identify, research, and organize information to assess the appropriateness and sufficiency of data to facilitate effective analysis
  • Design innovative solutions to solve data-related challenges
  • Conduct detailed review and validation of data processing, including Microsoft SQL Server scripts and output results
  • Prepare client deliverables, data visualizations, written analyses, and other presentations
  • Maintain organized and detailed documentation
  • Lead internal and external meetings during project lifecycle to review results of work performed
  • Actively contribute to the growth and development of junior team members through technical trainings, formal feedback, informal mentorship, recruiting efforts, and culture building
  • Maintain a professional image within the company and project the same to those outside of the company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Engineering
  • A minimum of 4 years of prior consulting experience or relevant industry-specific experience in advanced data analytics
  • Technical qualifications:
    • Required – Advanced experience with SQL 
    • General knowledge and experience with Pentaho, R and SSIS
  • Ability to solve complex problems quickly and efficiently through the use of programming and technology
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand unfamiliar data systems, file types, and technologies
  • Prior experience managing a team in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Ability to interface with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations
  • Flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to challenging deadlines, changing deliverables, and evolving task priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, eagerness for continued development, and motivation to succeed
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel

Mental/Physical Requirements

  • Direct, review and develop computer models including detailed, and Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work
  • Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location
  • Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
  • Generally works in an office environment
