The Legal department is comprised of our Legal and Patents functions. We depend on our Legal team to help drive growth and maintain the highest level of standards and practices across all of our legal efforts. Oversees team of attorneys and paraprofessionals and sets strategic direction for litigation matters (products liability, antitrust, competition law and commercial), product complaints, government investigations, risk mitigation/reporting and export controls compliance for Novo Nordisk Inc. (NNI). Provides strategic support for similar matters for Novo Nordisk A/S and other Novo Nordisk affiliates where applicable. This role also develops and drives execution of legal communication plans and strategy across functions/organizational lines.
Reports to the Vice President, Associate General Counsel – Litigation, Employment and Risk Management or Executive Director, Litigation, Employment and Risk Management. Key member and subject matter expert of Litigation Strategy Group. Represents Novo Nordisk and serve as point of authority with outside law firms. Ensures coordination of activities with global legal organization in Denmark and global affiliates.

Development of People
Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and the Novo Nordisk Way.
