Job Summary:

Newell Brands Inc. is seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to join the Global Cash & Banking Team in Norwalk, Connecticut. The Global Cash & Banking Team is a group within Global Treasury that ensures all Newell Brands entities around the world have adequate liquidity to conduct business and helps support all transactional banking needs across various regions.

Job Description:

  • Work with Senior Manager to build/maintain a best-in-class controls infrastructure and work with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to ensure appropriate controls on all cash transactions
  • Perform all cash accounting entries for Treasury, ensuring accuracy and timely input
  • Liaise directly with accounting on cash entries and reconciliation; identify and implement optimal procedures to increase efficiency and enhance control
  • Stay up to date on Accounting changes and compliance standards effecting Treasury
  • Assist in implementation of Treasury Workstation, including automation of cash accounting (mapping) and payments
  • Lead special projects, as needed, partnering and working collaboratively with internal teams
  • Administer and maintain all intercompany loans
  • Assist with bank portal administration, as needed
  • Primary contact for internal and external audits for the Cash Operations Team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business related field
  • 3-5 years of Treasury/Corporate Accounting/Corporate Finance experience at a publicly traded multinational company
  • 2-3 years of Cash/Treasury accounting experiencehighly preferred
  • Prior experience with g/l accounting systems, SAP and/or JDE required
  • Proficient computer skills including HFM and Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience with a Treasury Workstation, Kyriba preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and team player mentality
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and quickly changing business environments
  • Proficient problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
