Position Summary:

As part of the Data Enablement team, you will assist in the development, upkeep and management of databases used for data analysis and data mining to help produce close/forecasts, and FP&A reporting. You will assist in the extraction of diverse information from multiple data warehouses, tables, and other sources and bring the data together in databases to calculate complex client rebate terms.

In this role, you will support the formulary rebate business and will review and account for all rebates from drug manufacturers. You will work to understand client contracts and track their performance against them. Your experience in data systems, applications and the management of data inputs will allow you to directly impact the Company's P&L.

You will gain heavy insight into complex, varying contract terms and our data environment to be able to accurately calculate and report the financial position of rebates and analyze variances and drivers. By utilizing your expertise in SQL, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel you will perform data mining activities. Knowledge of Visual Basic is a plus.

Our team is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and accounting for all formulary rebates for CVS Health.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to create automate, and improve databases, including creating tables, and knowledge/use of stored procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Proficient in MS Access, Excel and VBA or Python.
  • Participate in the corporate close, forecasts and budgets ensuring the latest client specific assumptions are layered into the database and correct calculations and outcomes are predicted.
  • Provide variance analysis to understand potential risk and opportunities with respect to financial results.
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support broader finance group as needed.
  • Work with business partners to determine contract impact on future financial performance and communicate to financial organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional experience in Data Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, or other Analytic role(s).
  • 3 years of experience in writing complex SQL, stored procedures, functions and working with large datasets.
  • 3 years using Microsoft Access, Excel, VBA, or Python.
  • Experience with Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server database and applications to extract and summarize data from large data warehouses.
  • Database design and working knowledge of logical and physical data models.
  • Initiative-taker, goal-oriented, ability to manage multiple assignments with strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, and Salesforce.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience using business analytics to solve data-driven questions.
  • Experience working in a large corporate environment.
  • Visio experience a plus

Education:

Bachelor's Degree.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $136,500.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
