Drives IT solutions to ensure they meet the business needs balanced with a pragmatic and integrated approach to the design of technical solutions.
Understands and applies enterprise wide thinking to individual departmental requests for IT investments to ensure end-to-end process and data integration are achieved.
Leads projects to successful completion as defined by predetermined project success criteria including those established by the business, capital expenditure and budget requirements.
Influences the prioritization of business unit technology projects, optimal project structure and project administration to ensure strategic business objectives are met and risk is mitigated.
Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between affected components and sub-systems.
Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
Focuses on workforce leadership to accurately capture IT resource capacity involving resources (internal and/or external), processes and practices.
Develops and maintains development methodology (templates, processes and deliverables) and ensures all IT resources understand their responsibilities in this process.
Partners with Architecture Team to assess how technologies can best streamline processes and/or add business value.
Provides quick project turnarounds and flexibility by leveraging SDLC methodology and industry best practices.
Develops budget/annual goals and objectives; holds organization accountable for attaining goals and objectives.
Obtains and evaluates information on factors that would help determine required hardware configuration.
Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.
Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
Writes reusable, testable, and efficient code.
Recommends new technologies for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities
Remains current with new technologies especially around automation and machine learning.
Focus on performance tuning & improvement, systems usability and process automation.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering (any), or related.
Seven (7) years of required experience in Software Development, IT, or related must include: Five (5) years of experience developing, implementing and supporting large scale, enterprise applications. Five (5) years of experience with Visual Studio, C#/.Net or Java, SQL Server 2012, T-SQL, SSRS, BMC Control-M, TFS. Experience must also include: Development management; Creating Oracle Packages, Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers and Queries using Oracle SQL-PL/SQL; Agile development; ETL tools such as ODI, SSIS, or Spectrum Enterprise Designer; and experience with reporting tools such as OBIEE, SSRS, or Tableau.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 25% travel to Denver, CO and New York City, NY.
