The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership for manufacturing technical functions that include Industrial Engineering/Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing/Plant Engineering, and Facilities & Maintenance.  Ultimately, incumbent is expected to drive continuous improvement, gross margin growth, and productivity in operational processes.


  • Plan, organize, and manage Technical Operations & Continuous Improvement organization
  • Operational Excellence/Continuous & Rapid Improvement Leadership: Facilitate Policy/Strategy Deployment & Balanced Scorecard at the plant level, implement & sustain lean-based manufacturing operating system (Daily Management, Kaizen, …), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) & OEE improvement
  • Program/project management: charter, progress, control
  • Implement Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Prepare facilities and maintenance budget
  • Evaluate needs for manufacturing technology and facility equipment enhancement
  • Justify and execute capital improvement projects
  • Direct contact with contractors and service providers for execution of projects
  • Attend meetings to ensure proper alignment and focus of department

  • Preventative vs Corrective Maintenance
  • Project specific goals and objectives



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
  • Master’s degree in engineering and/or business preferred
  • Knowledge in sheet metal fabrication, plastics thermoforming, extrusion, glue bonding, and assembly
  • At least 10years ofexperiencein the following:
    • Engineering and program/project management
    • Lean-based manufacturing operating system implementation
    • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM/OEE)
    • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) installation
    • Development and execution of capital investment plan





  • Certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma required (MBB, SME Lean Bronze/Silver/Gold)
  • Business/financial acumen
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
  • Database programming (Access, VBA) and SQL preferred
  • AutoCAD and Solid Edge preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and ERP (SAP) preferred
