The Manager of Taxonomy will drive our strategy and execution around onsite findability. This position will oversee our findability efforts in GC and MF. They will construct the strategic onsite findability plan and update the plan annually. This plan is the roadmap for improving our customers' findability experience and must include initiative prioritization, timeline, benefits, risks, financial expectations, resource requests and progress measurement tools.
To execute, they will partner with Onsite Search, Product and Engineering teams, Analytics team, PIM team, SEO team, Merchants and other cross functional business teams to define how our catalog and content are best delivered through browse & navigation. Key to this role's success is developing deep experience with understanding how Customers shop on our commerce websites and best practices around manipulating the internal structure, hierarchy and applications to provide a best in class experience.
The success will be measured through improvement of internal analytics metrics such as facet use, category conversion and customer satisfaction scores. The details of measurements will be part of the approved strategic plan. Approval will come from the supervisor with oversite from the VP of eCommerce. This supervisory position must also build a highly functioning team of performers. This team must be focused on work that produces positive findability metrics, generated in a challenging but supportive environment. Written annual reviews and succession planning need to be done annually.
